Home Employment Agency, Don't Get Caught.

At first we thought this one was almost too blatant to bother writing about, until we found that some poor souls had parted with as much as $197 for this pile of rubbish.

We've only found one source pushing this so far but there may well be others. Ours arrived in the scam box from Elizabeth J. with the subject line "The cure for your end of month money worries". The email tries to tempt you with a supposedly little known work-from-home opportunity for big $$$$, but warns there are only limited positions available, yea right, try none, because this opportunity does not exist.

When you click on the email link you are taken to a page that asks for your zip code, name and email address (list building), this is supposedly to ascertain whether there are any available positions in your area, surprise, surprise, there will be. We filled it in with a UK post code no name or email and were taken straight to the sales pitch, we also tried with filling nothing in and were still taken to the sales pitch, aren't we the lucky ones.

The sales page is headed "Home Employment Agency" The #1 Work At Home Center, feel free to Google them, hope you have more luck than us finding any trace, you'd expect the #1 anything to at least be on the first page of results wouldn't you.

Ok, so where to start, quite frankly we found this page worth looking at for pure comic value. As soon as the page opens a video starts, the video is a genuine snippet from an NBC news item on home working including an interview with a lady who used to work at NBC. As we said this is a genuine video but has absolutely nothing to do with the product being pushed, at no point is this product mentioned, it's a pure cut and paste to imply a connection.

The sales page is covered with household names and logos, NBC, Fox News, ABC, USA Today, CNN, Apple, Compaq, again implying a connection where none exists. Indeed the sites own disclaimers at the page end states:

"**AFFILIATION/BRANDS - Home Employment Agency is not affiliated with, endorsed by or in any way associated with Apple, Coleman, Adidas, Compaq, The New York Times, Esquire, America Online, CNN, USA Today, Forbes, Yahoo. Home Employment Agency does not have the express permission of Apple, Coleman, Adidas, Compaq, The New York Times, Esquire, America Online, CNN, USA Today, Forbes, or Yahoo logo."

The report comes from an Elizabeth Jackson who the site claims is, "America's top work-at-home consultant", comedy value here is to be found once again in the disclaimers which state

"*For purposes of privacy, the creator of Home Employment Agency is using the name Elizabeth Jackson. This story is based upon the real life adaptation of the parties involved. The Company reserves the rights to the name and any uses of it as affiliated with the product. Any improper uses by unauthorized parties is strictly prohibited."

This is a new one on us, a #1 anybody who wants to remain annonymous, oh well.

So what are they pushing. The claim is that you can become a certified auction listing agent by signing up for their training program, you should certainly be certified if you did. They state that by taking their training you can then earn up to $75 per hour listing items on ebay on behalf of major manufacturers, here it comes again, another disclaimer.

"*INCOME CLAIM WARNING: Testimonials are not typical of most results. Photographs or images are a depiction of individuals and payment methods. These income examples are representative of some of the most successful participants in the program. Some individuals purchasing the program may make little or NO MONEY AT ALL. These claims are not a guarantee of your income, nor are they typical of average participants. Individual results will vary greatly and in accordance to your input, determination, hard work, and ability to follow directions. No person or company can guarantee profits or freedom from loss. Any and all use of this website certifies you are agreeing to our Earnings and Income Disclaimers."

Take careful note of the "or loss" part of this disclaimer. We can find no evidence that any of the companies shown on the site use outside agencies to list their products.  Everybody should know that you require no sort of qualification whatsoever to list items on ebay, but, and this is crucial, you may only list using your personal account, credit card etc. So even if you were to be listing on behalf of others, would you really want to be taking full legal responsibility for all sales made on your account, I rather think not.

We could go on further but doubt we need to, it's BS from top to bottom.

VERDICT: Don't touch it with your or anybody else's bargepole.

Oh, and one final thing, yet another disclaimer states:

"The entire contents of this website are Copyright © 2010 http://www.homeemploymentagency.net. All rights reserved. This site may not be copied in whole or in part without the express written permission of the publisher. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Naughty us, we seem to have copied some parts of the site, ie, those wonderful disclaimers. Well bring it on you fraudsters, see you in court.
